IAMYANK released his debut full-length album, Hiraeth, in 2016. The record began as an imagined journey into the deep sea: a movement away from the surface, from an overstimulated world and from human noise. Its title comes from the Welsh word hiraeth; homesickness for a place that cannot be returned to, or perhaps never even existed at all.<\/span><\/p>\n

The album\u2019s eleven tracks grow from that feeling. Distorted synths, ambient layers, live drums and bass accompany the descent; the second half slowly releases the tension, eventually arriving at a quiet and unfamiliar sense of calm. Hiraeth was IAMYANK\u2019s first full-length statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hiraeth turns ten this year. To mark the anniversary, and to give into your constant requests, we want to release the album on vinyl for the first time: a special clear-vinyl edition containing the original eleven tracks and one previously unreleased bonus track. The audio will be newly mastered specifically for vinyl.<\/span><\/p>\n

This release can happen through community funding. If the campaign reaches its target, Hanaton will manufacture, pack and deliver the records. By supporting the campaign, you are not only pre-ordering a special vinyl edition – you are helping give physical form to one of IAMYANK\u2019s defining chapters.<\/span><\/p>\n
